Introducing Sofia and Abe!
This adorable, vibrant, and adventurous couple is getting married in beautiful Napa, CA this Spring.
Abe and Sofia have a quality about them where they make everyone around them smile. When they’re not traveling around the world together, they are snuggling on the couch with their two super cute doggies watching movies and shows about baking.
Sofia and Abe are down-to-earth, funny and an absolute blast to be around. I know their big day will be just as awesome as they are.
What’s the story? How did you two meet?
Sofia: Abe and I met while working at a tech startup in San Francisco- I was working as a support rep and would talk to Abe on the phone when he called with technical problems back when he was still living in Arizona. The company moved to San Francisco and we really kicked it off at a mutual friend’s birthday party in Oakland in January of 2016. When he hadn’t called me by the next day, I confronted him during lunch and asked him when he was going to ask me out.
Abe: Ya, we had a pretty incredible night. We started talking at the beginning of the party and didn’t stop until we were the last people there. It will go down as one of the best nights of my life. I swear I would have asked her out if she didn’t beat me to the punch!
What kinds of things do you like to do together?
Sofia: We absolutely love to travel! Abe is a planner and takes a lot of joy in finding the best places to go around the world. Together we’ve been to Korea, Thailand, England, France, Italy, Sweeden, Mexico, Finland, and Denmark. The longer we’re together the better the trips get the more adventurous I think we are.
Abe: We also like watching horror movies with Rotton Tomato scores below 50%, and of course spending time with our two wonderful (and crazy) dogs!
What is an absolute MUST have for your wedding?
Sofia: Outdoor living areas with couches and poufs where guests can appreciate the gorgeous views we have in California! I love the “inside” look being outside.
Abe: A photo booth! We totally LOVE photo booths.
What are some of your favorite wedding trends right now?
Sofia: I really like when couples go off the beaten path and make the day their own. Couples shouldn’t feel cornered into the “cookie-cutter” wedding if it’s not their style! I think it really makes the day something special and truly unique.
Abe: Honestly, I leave the wedding trends to the professionals. ;Â )
What does your dream wedding day look like?
Abe: I think my dream wedding day would include everyone having an absolute blast, and Sofia and I do the same. I feel like I see a lot of couples stressing the small stuff on their wedding day and don’t get to fully enjoy it. I want to make it our mission to enjoy every second of it.
Sofia: Absolutely the same on my end- the most important aspect of a dream wedding is for Abe and me to soak it all in and enjoy the day with some of the most important people in our lives!
I have no doubt that this very special couples wedding day will be every bit as beautiful, unique, and fun as they are!
