How We Mitzvah...

You've likely been dreaming about this day for as long as you could remember, and you should expect nothing short of a celebration which lives up to all you'd imagined it to be. We understand the significance of this milestone, which you’ve envisioned for years.

Producing an event while juggling the responsibilities that come along with being a parent, can create unneeded anxiety and stress.

And when you consider the elements that go into planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah like the theme, budget, venue, entertainment, decor, vendors, party favors, etc. it’s difficult not to become overwhelmed. Our role as your planner is to listen to your personal needs and build a planning package that is customized just for you.

With our extensive experience and industry connections, however, we specialize in stepping in even with as little as two months’ notice and delivering a flawless event. providing unique solutions in combining the traditions of service with the exciting elements of celebration.

Step 1.

Hire Sweet Bean Events!

No matter your timeline, 12+ months, or less than 60 days...we've done both and everything in-between. We'd be honored to plan your child's bar or bat Mitzvah celebration, including Shabbat Dinner, Kiddush, Sunday Brunch, helping coordinate the religious and cultural aspects, whatever your needs entail. We've got you covered.

Step 2.

Mitzvah Concept & Design

We will learn about your family and child(ren), the honoree’s interests and quirks and what you envision for the big day. Your overall vision, and bring it to life through a unique theme or style. We want this celebration to a be reflection of them, as unique as they are. This is the time for dreaming, and scheming through concept boards and overall theme development.

Step 3.

Venue Selection

Now is the time to choose the perfect venue for both your reception and synagogue, to celebrate your special child's, special day. Let's take a field trip or two (or three or more), and lock this in.

Step 4.

Planning & Production

With your vision and your location in mind, we'll get into the details of planning and producing your event outlining and timing full coordination, logistics, and all aspects. We'll work with you to create a budget, track all expenses meticulously, and help you not only get to a flawless and efficient event, but one of great value. This will be a day to remember!

Step 5.

Curate a Team of Vendors

We'll do this in two tiers; tier I are vendors who hire out quickly and further in advance (caterer, photographer, videographer, florist, et al), and tier II - no less important - vendor partners who are typically more readily accessible.

We'll also negotiate on your behalf, leveraging our deep vendor relationships to get you "a solid" here and there.

Step 6.

Coordination

This is where it all starts to come together. We'll coordinate every aspect of this special event through to week-of, to managing the day-of timeline, including coordinating with B’nai Mitzvah, family, tutors, rabbis, cantors, and other contacts at the synagogue on all religious rites of passage and the B’nai. Let's not forget about the activities, too, we've developed a gift for wrangling 12 and 13 year olds and harboring fun activities for them.

Step 7.

Flawless Execution

This is typically the final 2 weeks before your event. Numbers are finalized and adjustments are made, vendors are confirmed, production schedule is distributed, and staffing is verified. On the day(s) of your event, our team will be onsite to make sure all details come together seamlessly. This is where we shine for you.
