THE SWEET BEAN VISION

I started Sweet Bean Events shortly after the world began to get back to normal following COVID in 2021. There is very little that I enjoyed more than throwing birthday parties for my kiddos - so when a friend of mine asked me to throw her husband a 50th birthday party, I was hooked, there was no turning back.

I named Sweet Bean after my daughter, Isabella, who we call "Bella Bean".

Over these last few years, Sweet Bean Events has grown into a full-service event planning company, specializing in weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, corporate events, and of course milestone celebrations.

I have an amazing team behind me and a fantastic network of vendor partners who I am truly thankful for, I would not here if not for all of them.

And of course my family! My goal into 2025 is to continue to serve my community by providing exceptional experiences and creating memories they will never forget, and to leverage Sweet Bean Events successes to soon launch Sweet Bean Foundation, a 501(c)3 committed to providing momentous experiences to those who lack the resources to experience deserved celebrations for whatever their celebratory milestone in life is.

Life is about experiences, and I am truly grateful to be able to give just that to any and everyone. It's amazing what a positive event could do to brighten people's spirits. Let us bring your dream event to life!

Meet Your Team

We are creative, professional, nostalgic - even a little bit romantic - about what we do.

Jenifer Johnson, Founder, Lead Planner & Designer

Jenifer resides in Ridgefield, CT, with her husband and 3 children. As far back as she can remember, she was passionate about all things theater, eventually majoring in musical theater and forming the World Theater Organization in her college years. She'd argue that her love for the arts drives her to fill each event with delightful details, and unexpected pleasures. Each event she orchestrates begins with a one-of-a-kind production, uniquely designed to tailor to each client's personal style, brand, and budget. She's the "Macgyver" of the team, able to pivot on a dime and take quick, decisive actions.

Jenna Bauman, Event Manager

From Wilton, CT and currently living in NYC, Jenna has nearly 2 decades of experience orchestrating unforgettable large-scale events and working backstage at iconic Broadway productions like The Radio City Christmas Spectacular (for 12 years), Matilda, and The Lion King. Jenna brings a unique blend of precision and sparkle to everything she touches, whether it be an intimate gathering or a multi-thousand person conference. When not planning her next event, she's a baking aficionado, animal lover, globetrotting enthusiast, and an unabashed Disney fanatic.

Kevin Radigan, Event Manager

Kevin has been in the Bar/Restaurant/Catering industry for the better part of 25 years. He brings additional experience and professionalism to our team and will be an integral member in achieving enjoyable and successful events.

Teryn Morel, Designer

Terryn a mom of two adorably crazy kids, and married to a pretty AWESOME husband. Her first love is baking, as evidenced by her success with Ridgefield's own Sweet T Cookie Shop - yet despite her continued success with her locally-owned business, and her family, she supports Sweet Bean Events as one if our lead designers in doing her part to ensure a cohesive design plan that brings each individual clients' vision to life, through and as needed, creating decor elements that enhance the beauty of your celebration.

Ashley Hutchings, Marketing

Ashley is the highly respected and renowned owner of InTown Social and creator of Mom Uptown—a lifestyle feed and blog focusing on food, family, fashion, and more. Sweet Bean Events is SO fortunate that she is sharing her successes in making Mom Uptown what is today, to ensure Sweet Bean can share a like online presence across the web and social media, to be there and available to you, when you are seeking out the perfect event planning team.

Sam Gagnon, Event Assistant

Sam, a Ridgefield, CT native, is pursuing a Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management degree at Indiana University, Bloomington. This year, she joined Sweet Bean Events as an intern, where she brings enthusiasm and creativity to every project. When she’s not studying or planning events, she loves to travel, hike, and spend time with her family.

Emily Lehr, Event Assistant

Born and raised in North Salem, NY, and currently a Business and Economics student at Trinity College Dublin, Emily joined Sweet Bean Events last year as an intern. Now a valued member of the team, she brings a fresh perspective and youthful energy to every project. Emily's academic background and hands-on experience have honed her skills in event planning, complemented by her meticulous organization and attention to detail. When she's not studying or planning events, Emily enjoys exploring traveling, indulging her Disney obsession, and playing music.

Aidan Johnson, Operations Assistant

A recent Ridgefield High School graduate, Aidan brings his physical and mental youthfulness to events as a setup, breakdown, delivery, table-setter, and anything and everything he can do to bring Sweet Beans' creative specialist to fruition. His ambition in life is in computer sciences and one day hopes to create video games as a software engineer - in fact, when asked what he wants in life, his response, as a 19-year old, is; 'to be remembered".

Adam Johnson, Business Manager

As Sweet Bean Events biggest fan - a bit biased, being Jenifer's husband and the father to Sweet Bean's namesake (pictured above, she totally looks like a Sweet Bean, right???), Adam supports Sweet Bean Events behind the scenes managing business operations such as accounting, ops, HR, and helps out with marketing activities. Sometimes, in a pinch, you'll see him at your event doing grunt work that everyone else conveniently passed on!

Mary Shickell, Event Manager
